The 2018 Triumph Tiger range is set to drop its veil on November 7, 2017, at EICMA in Milan.
Triumph is all set to give its adventure tourer range a healthy dose of aesthetic and feature updates. The British company has released a video teaser of the 2018 Tiger.
The teaser video reveals a lot of new elements of the updated Tiger range, including a new headlamp unit, and an all-digital instrument console with colour display - similar to that of the Street Triple RS. The video gives a sneak peak of the new BMW GS like beak mudguard too. Furthermore, there is also a glimpse of the new backlit switchgear, and the refreshed tank design.
These updates are expected to be incorporated to both 800 and 1200 versions of the Tiger. Rumours also suggest that Triumph will most likely drop the Explorer moniker from the larger Tiger 1200. So, the 2018 Tiger, in both forms, will carry a similar model nomenclature - the road friendly XR series, and the off-road focused XC series.
While not confirmed, we expect the updated Triumph Tiger range to have a slight bump in its power figures as well. The current Tiger 800 is powered by an 800cc, 3-cylinder motor making 94bhp and 79Nm. The bigger Triumph Tiger 1200 draws its mechanical muscle from a 1,215cc, 3-cylinder motor good for 137bhp and 123Nm. In India, the current Tiger range is priced between Rs. 10.87 lakh - 18.75 lakh - ex-showroom.
Set to be revealed at EICMA on November 7, 2017, the updated Triumph Tiger range is expected to arrive in India sometime in 2018. You can watch the official teaser video below.
