The Royal Enfield Himalayan will get new paint schemes, design updates, and Tripper Navigation.

Royal Enfield is all set to kick-start the new year with its first new launch. While RE has already announced plans to launch a number of new products this year, it looks like the first new product will be its updated off-road focused machine – the Himalayan.

The Himalayan was updated to a BS6 model in mid-2020, and now it will be relaunched, with a few more updates. Following Royal Enfield's new design focus, the Himalayan will feature a wide range of new paint schemes and graphics, including a new green shade and multiple dual-tone schemes. There will also be a matte black and silver paint finish option. The fuel tank will also feature a new logo and graphics.

There will be no update to the engine as of now, and the main design changes will be very basic. There will be a more friendly ergonomically designed seating position, as well as new metal frame design at the front-end of the bike.

The biggest change however will come in the form of Tripper Navigation. Just like the new Meteor 350, the Himalayan will also feature an additional fully-digital dial for step-by-step navigation. The RE Tripper Navigation is powered by Google, and riders will need to download the RE app and connect their phone to the system via Bluetooth.

The updated Royal Enfield Himalayan will most likely be launched at the end of this month or in February 2021 and will carry a slightly higher price tag over the current price of Rs 1.91 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Royal Enfield will also launch the new Classic 350 and a highly anticipated 650 cruiser motorcycle this year.
