The new Ather 450X is expected to have a bigger battery and longer range.
Ather is all set to launch the updated 450X in India tomorrow. The new iteration will replace gen-2 and is expected to come with substantial changes while retaining the cosmetics.
Leaked documents that surfaced online ahead of the scooter’s debut suggest that in its new avatar, the 450X will come with mechanical as well as hardware changes. In question are a new bigger battery pack, different riding modes and varying range too. This will also mean that the 450X will have a higher output as well.
In its current iteration, the electric motor on the 450X outputs 8.04bhp and 26Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-40kmph in 3.3 seconds and delivers a range of up to 85km. In terms of features, the current 450X gets a Bluetooth-enabled (4.2) touchscreen instrument cluster, music & call controls, integrated 4G LTE SIM connectivity, digital document storage, and onboard navigation. The display on the 450X range gets a 1.3 GHz Snapdragon processor.
With a better range and bigger battery on offer, the new 450X will be able to up its game against rivals like the Ola S1 Pro, Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube in the country. Likewise, the new avatar will also come at a premium over the current model which costs Rs 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom).
