UM Motorcycles will showcase a new 230cc cruiser and an electric cruiser at the 2018 Auto Expo.
UM Lohia Two Wheelers, the Indian arm of UM Motorcycles from America has announced that they will unveil an electric cruiser motorcycle along with a brand-new mass market cruiser at the 2018 Auto Expo.
The electric bike is the UM Renegade Electric concept motorcycle, which was also showcased at the 2017 EICMA in Italy. UM claims that it will be a first of its kind to feature a five-speed gearbox. The motor is also water cooled, and UM claims that the performance of the powertrain will be at par with 600cc motors. The real-world range of the Renegade Electric with its 27KW battery will be around 265 kilometres. And with its fast charging capabilities, the batteries will take 40 minutes to charge up to 80 per cent.
In Addition, UM will showcase their entire India line-up, which includes the Renegade Commando Classic, Renegade Commando Mojave, Renegade Commando and Renegade Sports S. Apart from showcasing these motorcycles, UM will also introduce a brand-new cruiser with an all-new 230cc engine at the Auto Expo.
Rajeev Mishra, CEO-UM Lohia Two Wheelers Pvt. Ltd said, ‘We are very excited to be a part of the Auto Expo 2018 and are confident that the visitors will be thrilled by the UM range of Motorcycles showcased at our stand. We are expecting a healthy footfall as we have some great surprises for the visitors, which they can only experience at the stand.’
