The Ultraviolette F99 recorded an amazing quarter-mile time of 10.712 seconds at the Valley Run, held at Aamby Valley on December 1, 2024. The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) officially acknowledged and confirmed the feat, making the F99 the fastest Indian motorcycle, shattering the previous record set in 2022. Interestingly, the bike that set the new record features unique engineering and design enhancements. It has a carbon fibre exoskeleton and a carbon fibre battery pack that brings the weight to just 180 kg.

On the mechanical side, the bike delivers 118.3bhp and 972Nm at the wheel. It is powered by a 400V battery pack and a liquid-cooled drivetrain. The machine can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in under 3 seconds and reach 200km/h in less than 10 seconds.
Ultraviolette has launched a special limited edition merchandise line featuring the ‘The Fastest Indian’ livery to mark the achievement. Only 99 units of this exclusive Collector's Edition will be made, representing the F99’s milestone record-breaking performance.
Commenting on the record, Niraj Rajmohan, Co-founder and CTO of Ultraviolette, said ‘This record attempt is our answer to the ceiling the industry seems to have imposed on itself. Building technology for a peak-performance motorcycle like the F99 is a formidable challenge —it demands precision, innovation, and an unrelenting pursuit of perfection across aerodynamics, structural engineering, battery technology, and vehicle electronics. We have been working tirelessly on the F99 Project for the past few months and we hope this sparks further waves of innovation across tech start-ups in India.'
