TVS resurrects the Victor brand in the commuter-motorcycle segment
TVS has launched a revised version of the Victor in the Indian market. One of the most successful commuter motorcycles by the company, the Victor is now launched at a starting price of Rs 49,490 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The refreshed Victor will sit above the company’s 110cc Star City range. Powering the motorcycle is the company's 110cc engine that now features a three-valve head, spring loaded rocker arms, oil-cooled combustion chamber and an optimized CV carburetor among other improvements.
The 110cc unit in the Victor develops 9.5bhp @ 7,500rpm and a peak-torque of 9.4Nm @ 6,000rpm. Power transmission duties are carried out by a 4-speed gearbox. TVS claims the new Victor has a fuel efficiency of 76km/l, while it can also do a 0-60km/h run in 7.2 seconds if need be.
Design wise, the Victor features subtle revisions all around. There’s also a new instrumentation console that sports a digital speedometer and an analogue tachometer. TVS will be offering the Victor in two variants - drum or disc (front wheel). The drum brake version is priced at Rs 49,490 whereas the one with disc brake costs Rs 51,490. Both the prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi.
