TVS has launched a new drum brake variant of the Raider 125 in India. Priced at Rs 84,869 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the drum brake variant is the entry point to the Raider 125 family. With the launch of the new variant, the Raider 125 is more affordable than before. Priorly, the base variant was available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 95,219. At the top of the heap is the SX variant, setting you back by Rs 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom).
Though the TVS Raider 125 Drum looks the same as other models in the lineup, it gets a 130mm drum brake and a combined braking system (CBS). Positioned below the Single-Seat variant (Rs 96,869, ex-showroom), the Drum variant features an LED headlamp, an LCD instrument cluster, a USB charging port, and ride modes. It comes in two colour options – Striking Red and Wicked Black – and has the same powertrain as other models.
TVS Raider 125 Drum: Powertrain
The TVS Raider 125 Drum uses a 124.8cc air-cooled engine that develops 11.2bhp at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. For transmission, the bike employs a five-speed unit. The motorcycle can go from a standstill to 60km/h in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 99km/h. The suspension setup is a combination of telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock.

In terms of market competition, the Raider 125 rivals the Hero Xtreme 125R, Honda Shine, and the Bajaj Pulsar NS125.
