The Hosur-based bike maker has also fitted it with an LED headlamp and DRL. Additionally it also comes with a hazard lamp which can be switched on with the help of a button on the handle bar.
Speaking about the launch, Aniruddha Haldar, Vice President (Marketing) – Commuter Motorcycles, Scooters & Corporate Brand, TVS Motor Company, said, “Apart from its striking appearance and the TVS SmartXonnect feature, it is the performance which has been the hallmark of the TVS Ntorq 125 experience. The scooter is built on a rich pedigree of 37 years of TVS Racing and the Race Edition is launched to celebrate the same. Today, nearly 4 lakh youthful consumers are proud Ntorqians and with this launch we are confident of growing this tribe from strength to strength. We shall also be opening pre-booking online for the TVS Ntorq125 Race Edition in select cities.”
Aside from the aforementioned changes, the TVS Ntorq 125 remains unchanged underneath. It continues to be powered by a 124cc single-cylinder three-valve motor that develops 9.1bhp and 10.5Nm. Just like the standard trim, braking duties on this Race Edition too are performed by a disc brake up front and a drum setup at the rear. The company has commenced bookings of the Ntorq 125 Race Edition – deliveries are expected to commence in a few weeks’ time.
