The TVS Jupiter ZX is the first variant of the 110cc scooter to get a disc brake option. It also gets a new 'i-TOUCHstart' electric starter and an all-in-one lock.
TVS has added a disc brake version to its Jupiter 110cc scooter line-up. The Jupiter ZX disc brake variant has been launched at ₹69,052 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes it more expensive by ₹3,950 over the standard drum-brake ZX variant.
There are no visual changes on the new disc brake version of the Jupiter, however, apart from the front disc brake setup, it does get TVS' new 'i-TOUCHstart' silent electric starter (minimal cranking noise) and an all-in-one lock (ignition, steering lock, seat lock, & fuel tank cap operation suing a single keyhole).
Engine-wise, there are no updates. The BS6 Jupiter range (Standard, ZX, & Classic) continues to be powered by a 110cc single-cylinder motor with ETFi (Eco Thrust Fuel injection) technology. Power & torque figures also remain unchanged, at 7.3bhp (@ 7,000rpm) & 8.4Nm (@5,500rpm), respectively.
In terms of features, the BS6 Jupiter ZX offers telescopic front suspension and a 3-step adjustable rear hydraulic damper, alloy wheels, a dual-tone seat, beige inner body panels, LED lighting, a digital speedometer, a low-fuel indicator, mobile charging slot, LED lighting, etc.
Colour options for the BS6 Jupiter ZX disc brake version include Starlight Blue (Matte/Gloss) and Royal Wine (Gloss).
