The Jupiter Grande features the same SmartXconnect Bluetooth connectivity system, which was introduced with the NTorq 125, but gets limited features in comparison.
TVS has launched the updated Jupiter Grande with Bluetooth Connectivity at a price of Rs 59,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Connectivity features aside, the new version gets an additional colour scheme and a digi-analogue instrument cluster, while it’ll only be available in disc version now.
The Jupiter Grande features the same SmartXconnect Bluetooth connectivity system, which was introduced with the NTorq 125. In here though, the system works in conjuction with a new digi-analogoue instrument cluster as opposed to NTorq’s fully digital instrumentation. The system offers features such as call and text notifications, over-speeding alert, trip data recorder, and more, but it doesn’t have NTorq's turn-by-turn navigation functionality. Like the NTorq though, there’s a dedicated smartphone app for the scooter and it’s available for both Android and iOS users. However, the text notification feature will not work on Apple or iOS devices.
Among other highlights are the new light blue colour scheme with beige panels and a maroon seat with cross-stitch pattern, LED headlamps, machined-finish alloy wheels, chrome treatment on rear-view mirrors, and an embossed 3D logo.
Mechanically, there are no changes to speak of. This means it’s powered by the same 109.7cc single-cylinder unit that produces 8bhp and 8.4Nm of torque. The scooter is still not BSVI compliant. The Jupiter Grande also comes with 3-step adjustable rear monoshock.
