TVS’ best-selling scooter has achieved the feat in just four years
With a comfortable ride and a smooth engine, the TVS Jupiter is steadily made its way into the hearts of scooter buyers. And the fact that the scooter recently crossed the 2 million sales milestone is a testimony of its prowess. The Jupiter is the best-selling model from TVS’ product portfolio. In the month of July, the company registered sales of 2,70,544 units. Out of these, the more than 62,000 units sold were Jupiters, amounting to 23 percent of the total TVS sales in that month. In early 2016, TVS Jupiter was the fastest scooter to reach the mark of 1 million sales, doing so in a mere 30 months. TVS has been growing consistently this year. The Hosur-based firm recorded a growth of 16 percent in the month of August 2017.
Meanwhile, to celebrate the festive season and to keep the sales charts soaring, TVS has recently launched some special edition versions of their products. Just last week the company introduced the Apache RTR 160 and RTR 180 in a new matte red shade. The company also brought in a Premium Edition of the Victor earlier this month and a Classic Edition of the Jupiter in August. TVS has established a comfortable third place on the monthly sales charts after Hero MotoCorp and Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India.
TVS is also preparing to bring in an entry-level performance bike – the Akula 310. While spy shots of the motorcycle have already started making their rounds on the internet, there is no official confirmation about its launch. TVS was initially expected to launch it by mid-2017 but now it seems like the launch has been pushed to Q3.
