TVS intelliGO aims at providing a comfortable, convenient, and environment-friendly ride experience to customers.
Indian bike maker TVS has just introduced a new technology system to one of their products. The new start/stop system is called 'intelliGO', and it will debut on the company's flagship scooter – the Jupiter. According to TVS, the intelliGO system will enhance the riding comfort, mileage, and reduce emissions by switching off the scooter's engine during at traffic signals and other transient stops.
When the engine is switched off, fuel wastage will be minimised and so will be emissions. Once the rider wishes to restart the vehicle, a simple twist of the throttle will rev the engine back to life. However, TVS has not mentioned if it's possible to disable or switch off the intelliGO system if the rider chooses to do so.
The TVS Jupiter already features the company's Ecothrust Fuel injection (ET-Fi) technology, which helps it deliver 15% better mileage, as well as better startability, refinement, and durability. With the new intelliGO system, the TVS Jupiter will be the first 110cc scooter to feature this start/stop system.
Mr Aniruddha Haldar, Vice President (Marketing) – Commuter Motorcycles, Scooters & Corporate Brand, TVS Motor Company, said, ;TVS Motor Company has been at the forefront of introducing technological advancements backed by customer insight.
