TVS Apache RTX 300 Design Patented Ahead of India Launch
The TVS Apache RTX 300 will lock horns with the KTM 250 Adventure, the Suzuki V-Strom SX, and the Yezdi Adventure. It is expected to be priced at around 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

TVS has filed a design patent for its first-ever ADV, expected to be named the Apache RTX 300. The upcoming model will be powered by the RT-XD4 engine platform, which was unveiled at MotoSoul 2024. Although the official launch date of the bike in India has yet to be confirmed, the filed patent closely aligns with previous spy shots, offering a glimpse of what TVS has in store with this new addition to the Apache lineup. Here's a detailed look at the features and design anticipated in the upcoming TVS Apache RTX 300.
TVS Apache RTX 300: Key Highlights
The design patent for the Apache RTX 300 highlights some notable elements, such as a twin-pod headlamp and a semi-fairing. Unlike typical adventure bikes, the bike lacks a front beak, suggesting it's an optional part. The Apache RTX 300 has a muscular fuel tank, a robust engine sump guard, and a rear tyre hugger.

Hardware-wise, the RTX 300 sports a steel trellis frame, enhanced by a bolt-on sub-frame. The suspension includes upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. Stopping power comes from disc brakes at both the front and rear. The Apache RTX 300's potential 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel configuration points towards a road-oriented adventure bike. It will likely offer dual-channel ABS along with the ability to disable rear-wheel ABS.
The Apache RTX 300 will feature a 299cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This newly developed RT-XD4 engine is capable of churning out 35bhp at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm at 7,000rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch. Although there is no official confirmation, the engine is expected to offer a more consistent torque delivery suited to the bike's performance characteristics and riding style.

With a price tag likely around Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom), it is anticipated to go on sale by mid-2025. In terms of market rivalry, the bike will compete with the Yezdi Adventure, Suzuki V-Strom SX, and the KTM 250 Adventure.
