A spy video partially revealing TVS's first adventure (ADV) bike has surfaced online, and it looks like the model in question could use the brand-new RT-XD4 engine unveiled at the recently concluded TVS MotoSoul 2024. While yet to be confirmed, the adventure bike is expected to be called the RTX, a new name for the Apache range of motorcycles TVS patented in 2023. Expect it to launch sometime in 2025.
The test mule spotted appears to feature a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel, with road-biased tyres. The off-road-focused variant with a 21/17-inch wheels combination might follow later. One can also spot upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, with long travel suspension. The spy video also shows a disc brake setup. Chassis-wise, the upcoming road-biased ADV will utilise a trellis unit. In terms of styling, the semi-faired ADV from the Hosur-based brand has a tall visor, big fuel tank, beak-styled front fender, and sleek rear section. The riding position is a combination of spilt seats, wide handlebars, and mid-set footpegs. Upon arrival, the bike will be available with a rear-mounted top box as seen in the video.

TVS Apache RTX: Engine
Powering the upcoming TVS ADV will likely be a new 299cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled RT-XD4 that makes 35bhp at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Unlike the motor on the Apache RR 310 and the Apache RTR 310, the RT-XD4 (with ride-by-wire tech) engine has a flatter torque curve, making it well-suited for off-roading.
TVS Apache RTX: Features/Electronic Aids
Electronic aids could include traction control, cruise control, switchable dual-channel ABS, and ride modes. A TFT digital instrument cluster is most likely to be on offer.
