The TVS Apache RTR 310 has finally entered production at TVS Motor Company's Hosur manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu, India. And very soon the bike will find its way to the TVS dealerships across the country. Moreover, production of the BMW CE 02 has also started at TVS' Hosur plant. The TVS-BMW collaboration has given us five offerings so far, which include the BMW G 310 GS, BMW G 310 R, BMW G 310 RR, TVS Apache RR 310, and the latest TVS Apache RTR 310. Speaking of the RTR 310, the bike was launched on September 6, and pre-bookings commenced towards the end of August 2023. Prices for the TVS Apache RTR 310 start at Rs 2.43 lakh for Arsenal Black without quick-shifter and go up to Rs 2.64 lakh for Fury Yellow. All prices are ex-showroom.

Under TVS' 'Built to Order' programme, the motorcycle is offered with 2 customisation packs – Dynamic kit and Dynamic Pro kit. The former incorporates fully adjustable suspension, TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system), and brass-coated drive chain and is priced at Rs 18,000. Whereas the latter gets RT-DSC and heated & cooled seats and costs Rs 22,000. A new Sepang Blue paint scheme with TVS Racing livery is also available for Rs 10,000.
TVS Apache RTR 310: Powertrain, Performance
Sharing its underpinnings with the RR 310, the RTR 310 is powered by a 312.2cc reverse-inclined liquid-cooled engine, which churns out 35bhp at 9,700rpm and 28.7Nm of peak torque at 6,650rpm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and an assist and slip clutch.
TVS Apache RTR 310: Suspension, Braking
Built around a steel trellis frame, the bike uses KYB inverted front forks and a rear mono-shock with preload, rebound, and compression adjustments for suspension. It also uses a new lightweight aluminium subframe. The braking hardware consists of discs at both ends, accompanied by a dual-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS). The bike rolls on new 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in dual compound radial tyres.
TVS Apache RTR 310: Features, Riding Aids
The Apache RTR 310 is the first bike in its segment to feature a 5-inch TFT console with multiway connectivity (Bluetooth, GoPro, Smartphone), voice assist, smart helmet device connectivity, telephony & navigation, climate control seats, and dynamic brake lamp. A host of riding aids include a race-tuned dynamic stability control system (RT-DSC) with 6-axis IMU, cornering ABS, cornering traction control, cornering cruise control, glide-through function, a side stand cut-off, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a bi-directional quick-shifter, and five ride modes (a segment first), including an all-new Supermoto mode.
TVS Apache RTR 310: Rivals
The Apache RTR 310 sports an aggressive styling, with a forward-leaning riding posture, rear-set footpegs, an exposed rear sub-frame, sharp tank shrouds, a raised rear, split seats, and LED headlamps and taillamps. Priced between Rs 2.43 lakh and Rs 2.64 lakh (ex-showroom), the RTR 310 rivals the likes of the Honda CB300R, BMW G 310 R, Bajaj Dominar 400, QJ Motor SRK 400, and KTM 390 Duke.

Currently, TVS' Apache portfolio consists of the RP 165, RR 310, RTR 200 4V, RTR 180, RTR 160 4V, RTR 160, and the RTR 310.
