Initially, the flagship TVS sports bike will only be made available in 36 cities across India.
Earlier this month, TVS launched the much anticipated TVS Apache RR 310 in India at Rs. 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). Now, the Hosur-based motorcycle maker has revealed the cities where the new bike will be sold.
Many enthusiasts from Tier III, IV and V cities will be disappointed to learn that the first ever fully faired TVS will only be sold through a selected number of dealerships. TVS has appointed 51 dealerships across 36 cities (list below) to handle sales and servicing of the RR 310. All the selected dealerships will have specially trained staff and specific equipment to properly support the big Apache. It is also said that these dealerships will have a dedicated section for the RR 310.
Ludhiana | Moradabad | Hosur | Howrah |
Chandigarh | Dehradun | Pondicherry | Siliguri |
Delhi | Bengaluru | Chennai | Guwahati |
Lucknow | Mysuru | Hyderabad | Mumbai |
Kanpur | Mangalore | Vijaywada | Pune |
Allahabad | Calicut | Guntur | Nagpur |
Ghaziabad | Cochin | Vizag | Ahemdabad |
Noida | Coimbatore | Ranchi | Raipur |
Jaipur | Kota | Jodhpur | Udaipur |
Bookings for the 312cc motorcycle have already begun in these cities. While there is no information of the RR 310 being available in other cities just yet - it may change in future as TVS eventually upgrades its sales and service network throughout India in a phased manner.
The Apache RR 310 has been developed in association with BMW Motorrad - and thus shares its mechanical bits with the latter’s G 310 series. The most obvious shared component is the RR 310’s engine, which just like the BMW’s, is a 312cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. The engine makes 33.5bhp of power and 27.3Nm of torque. A 6-speed gearbox comes standard.
