Triumph Motorcycles and Bajaj Auto recently launched the Scrambler 400 X in India following the outstanding response received by its sibling, the Speed 400. The brand-new bike went on sale for an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.63 lakh. The motorcycle will be sold by the select network of Triumph dealers, which will rapidly expand across more than 100 locations within this fiscal year. The Scrambler bike is renowned for blending a road-oriented bike's adaptability with a dirt bike's off-road prowess. Thanks to its tough frame, long travel suspension, high ground clearance, and large front wheel, it has been designed to cope with tough terrains and soft trails. Prospective customers can reserve the Scrambler 400 X on the Triumph India website for a nominal fee of Rs 10,000. Triumph Scrambler 400 X: Design Elements
Design-wise, the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400X are similar. It has details like a round headlamp with a grill, ribbed split seat, handle guards, and tank grips. It has a distinctly retro appearance. Additionally, due to its ability to ride off-road, the Scrambler 400X has a unique stance. For greater control, the bike is slightly taller than its sibling with a seat height of 835mm. The Scrambler has a classic look, but it also includes a few contemporary features. The Scrambler 400 X further comes with an all-LED lighting and weighs 179kg.
Triumph's latest offering is available in three dual-tone colour options, according to the firm. These combinations include Black/Silver, Red/Black, and Green/White. Triumph is also providing Scrambler X with an additional 25 optional accessories to improve its utility and off-road performance.
Triumph Scrambler 400 X: Cycle Parts
The British bike manufacturer has given the Scrambler 400X slightly altered hardware components to complement its off-road capabilities. A mono-shock with 150mm of travel on either end and USD front forks are included. Moreover, the braking system comprises a 320mm front and 230mm rear disc set on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, respectively. Both wheels are fitted with sizable MRF Zapper Kurve tyres.
Triumph Scrambler 400 X: Engine Details
The Scrambler 400 X is propelled by the same engine that also powers the Speed 400. This 398.15cc, liquid-cooled unit is a part of the brand-new TR series of internal combustion engines. Speaking of the power and torque figures, the bike churns out 39.5bhp and 27.5Nm, respectively. Meanwhile, the gearbox being utilised is 6-speed transmission coupled with a slip and assist clutch.
Triumph Scrambler 400 X: Features
Similar to the 400 Speed, the new Scrambler 400 X is feature-rich and has an extensive list of amenities. Switchable traction control, an assist clutch, ride-by-wire, semi-digital instrument control, an immobilizer, a USB-C charging port, and more. The instrument panel has a sizable analogue speedometer and a small LCD display that includes a digital tachometer, a gear position indicator, trip info, and a fuel gauge. A larger front mudguard, switchable ABS, a grille to shield the headlamp, and a radiator are among the added features of the Scrambler 400 X.

Triumph Scrambler 400 X: Price and Rivals
The Scrambler 400X is Rs 30,000 more expensive than the Speed 400 with a retail price of Rs 2.63 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Speed 400, on the other hand, is available at Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Yezdi Scrambler and the Royal Enfield Scram 411 are market rivals for the recently released Triumph Scrambler 400 X in our home market.
