Triumph India is offering compensation to Street Triple owners after ARAI revealed that the power delivered by its Streetbike was much lesser than what claimed by the company.

It has been heard through some sources that Triumph India is offering compensation to the owners of the Triumph Street Triple. This is, according to us, a damage control mode from Triumph after the latest controversy regarding the power output of its motorcycles.

The problem erupted when ARAI released this information that the power output of the Triumph Street Triple was a mere 79PS against 106PS, as claimed by the company on its website and all its communications. As a gesture, Triumph India is offering either Rs. 1 lakh cash or accessories worth Rs. 1.5 lakhs to the Triumph Street Triple owners. Accessories include cosmetic additions, aftermarket exhaust systems to riding gear. When the controversy started, Triumph officials had said that the models being sold in India had to be detuned keeping the norms and low quality of fuel in mind.

This compensation will be only given to the existing Triumph Street Triple Customers who will be contacted by the respective dealerships. New customers will not be getting benefited under this new scheme as all the communications now state the correct figures of Triumph motorcycles.
