Over a month after launching the Daytona 660 sports bike in India, Triumph Motorcycles has commenced deliveries of the model in question. The bike is priced at Rs 9.72 lakh (ex-showroom) and is based on the same platform as the Trident 660 and the Sport 660. In the Daytona 660, the 660cc inline three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine is rated for 95bhp at 11,250rpm and 69Nm of peak torque at 8,250rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, supplemented by a bi-directional quickshifter.
The Triumph Daytona 660 is a premium motorcycle with Showa suspension – upside-down front forks and rear monoshock – and a colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. Stopping power comes from dual 310mm front discs and a single 220mm rear disc. The discs come mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in high-quality Michelin Power 6 tyres. The bike comes in three colour options: Satin Granite, Snowdonia White, and Carnival Red.

Triumph Daytona 660: Design, Ergonomics
The Daytona 660 gets a split-type seat, measuring 810mm. It can be had with an accessory lower seat, which reduces the perch by 25mm to 785mm. It is a classic supersport with full fairing, dual LED headlamps, a central air intake, a sculpted fuel tank, and an upward-sloping rear section. Given that the clip-on handlebars are mounted above the fork tops and the footpegs seem not very high up, the rider triangle is relaxed and comfortable.
Triumph Daytona 660: Rider Aids
Electronic rider aids include three riding modes (Sport, Road, and Rain), a bi-directional quickshifter, dual-channel ABS, and an Emergency Deceleration Warning system. The Daytona 660 weighs 201 kg and has a wheelbase of 1,425mm.
