In June 2024, Hero MotoCorp sold the highest number of two-wheelers in the domestic market. It was joined by Honda, TVS, and Bajaj on the list of best-selling automakers. While there is no formal announcement, Hero MotoCorp is expected to introduce the updated Destini 125 in India later this month. The revised scooter will likely come with a host of cosmetic upgrades over its predecessor. Besides this, the Indian two-wheeler will witness some of the most highly awaited launches, such as the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 and BMW CE 04. Hero Motocorp
Hero Motocorp sold 4.91 lakh units in June, representing a 16.24% increase over the 4.22 lakh units delivered during the same period last year. Compared to 4.78 lakh units sold in May 2024, the automaker's sales improved by 2.50% month-on-month. The Xtreme 125 and VIDA V1 were among the models that contributed to the sales success. Hero is expected to introduce the updated Destini 125 in India soon. The scooter is expected to come with some aesthetic modifications, such as an aggressive front cowl, a revised headlight, reworked taillamps, and new alloy wheels.
Honda
With 4.83 lakh units sold, Honda was the second-best-selling two-wheeler brand last month. The automaker experienced an astounding 59% growth in sales year-on-year. Its market share also increased from 29.15% in May to 31.25% in June of this year. In India, Honda sells a range of scooters and motorcycles such as the Dio, Active 6G, Shine 100, and Hornet 2.0.
TVS
TVS finished third on the sales chart in June, selling 2.56 lakh units. Its market share stood at 16.56% while its YoY growth reached 8% last month. The company recently introduced the Apache RTR 160 Racing Edition in India for Rs 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom).
Bajaj
Bajaj delivered 1.77 lakh units in the domestic market, indicating a YoY rise of 6.56% over 1.66 lakh units sold in June last year. The automaker had a market share of 11.48%. In recent developments, the Chakan-based manufacturer launched its first-ever CNG bike called the Freedom 125 in India for Rs 95,000 (starting, ex-showroom). The bike is available in three variants.

Suzuki
In comparison to 63,059 units sold in June 2023, Suzuki sold 71,086 units last month. This led to a YoY growth of 12.73%. During this time, the company's market share was 4.60%. The automaker's Indian portfolio comprises a variety of models like the Access 125, Gixxer, and V-Strom SX.
