Svitch CSR 762 Electric Motorcycle Launched in India at Rs 1.90 Lakh; Claims 120km/h Top Speed

Ahmedabad-based Svitch Group has announced prices for the—CSR 762 e-bike in India, following its debut two years ago. The electric bike retails for Rs 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and competes with the Matter Aera and the Tork Kratos R. According to the company's official website, more than 12,000 orders for the brand-new CSR 762 have been placed so far, indicating its increasing popularity. It comes in three paint schemes and a 40-litre helmet storage compartment upfront—which is a first in its class. According to Svitch, creativity, sustainability, and a passion for riding are the driving forces behind the construction of the electric bike. With its brand-new offering, it hopes to improve urban mobility and establish a new standard for the industry.

Svitch CSR 762: Specifications 

A mid-mounted 3kW PMS electric motor with a maximum output of 13.4bhp powers the CSR 762. Additionally, it comes with two 3.6kWh lithium-ion swappable batteries, which are said to offer 190 kilometres of range per charge. It's significant to note that since the production version was first announced, this range has increased by about 30 kilometres. Svitch highlights that to maintain peak performance over an extended period, air-cooling technology is used by the e-bike for the motor and other components. Its top speed is 120km/h. 

The Svitch electric motorcycle weighs 200 kgs (wet) and 155 kgs (kerb) and has a 1430mm wheelbase. Further, it comes with a 24-degree rake angle and a seat height of 810mm. The bike has five riding modes as well as an additional parking mode. A 5-inch TFT display, a steel skeleton frame, and 17-inch wheels wrapped on 110/80 front and 140/70 rear tyres, are among other notable features of the electric bike. The hardware components of the motorcycle include 300mm front and 280mm rear discs with a combi braking arrangement, as well as, telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock.

Svitch CSR 762: Bookings, Price, and Other Details

The reservations can be made for as little as Rs 1, while deliveries of the CSR 762 e-bike are expected to begin in August 2024. Svitch intends to open outlets in areas from where the greatest number of reservations have been made. The automaker is said to previously disclosed that it would first open stores in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, and Ahmedabad.
