The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE adventure bike has been spied undergoing road testing on Indian streets. The spy shots of the motorcycle hint that the two-wheeler manufacturer may launch the new variant of the V-Strom in our market shortly. For those unaware, the middleweight adventure motorcycle debuted at the EICMA Motorcycle Show in 2022 and was launched worldwide in December of the same year. The bike comes equipped with a 776cc parallel-twin engine, which is capable of churning out 83bhp and 78Nm. Transmission duties are taken care of by a six-speed gearbox. Right now, the official launch of the middleweight adventure motorcycle is not confirmed; however, according to several industry reports, when introduced in India, the bike will face competition from the Triumph Tiger 850, BMW F 850 GS, and more. Suzuki V-Strom 800DE: Mechanical & Hardware Details
Internationally, the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE gets a parallel twin 776cc DOHC engine, which produces 82bhp at 8,500rpm and 78Nm at 6,800rpm. For transmission, it employs a six-speed gearbox. The Showa suspension on the V-Strom 800 DE is fully adjustable and features 220mm of travel at both ends. The bike has a ground clearance of 220mm and a seat height of 855mm. The ADV sports a steel frame chassis with an aluminium swingarm. Further, the motorcycle's off-road capability is credited to its 21/17-inch spoke wheel combination and Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tyres.
According to the manufacturer, the V-Strom 800DE is a touring bike with an off-road focus. It has a short windscreen, a pronounced beak, and elevated handlebars for a more relaxed riding position. Features-wise, the adventure bike has a bi-directional quick-shifter, a 5-inch digital instrument dashboard, switchable dual-channel ABS, and more.

While there is no official update, several industry reports hint that the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE could be launched in the country later this year. Reports also suggest that it might cost somewhere around Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
