While we’re slowly getting in the ‘unlock’ phase after over two months of lockdown, social distancing will continue to be the new way of life in coming months or maybe years. With that in mind, the auto industry has already started introducing new ways of purchasing cars and bikes in the country. The latest firm to launch its new sales-and-service programme is Suzuki Motorcycles India. The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has launched ‘Suzuki at your doorstep’ initiative for sales and aftersales services of its products.
As the name suggests, customers will able to book a new Suzuki scooter or motorcycle online and it’ll be delivered at home. Making a purchase will be a 5-step process on the company’s website. You’ll have to book the desired product, choose the colour of the two-wheeler, select your location and dealer, make the payment, and choose the preferred date and time for delivery. You can also make the booking by calling a toll-free Suzuki customer care number.
In addition, Suzuki will also offer a properly sanitised test-ride vehicle at your doorstep, in case a customer demands it before making a purchase. The programme will also offer easy online financing on online purchase in a short while, says Suzuki.
Aftersales support for Suzuki two-wheelers will work in a similar manner. Minor fault or regular servicing, excluding washing, will be offered at customers' doorstep. Customers within 5km radius of a Suzuki dealership can also avail doorstep pick up and drop services. In case, a customer wants to visit the service centre themselves, that will also be allowed, albeit safe social distancing norms will have to be followed strictly.
