Suzuki has introduced the 25th-anniversary version of the Hayabusa, which will go on sale worldwide this month as part of the company's 25-year celebration of its flagship motorcycle. The 25th-anniversary model has distinctive colours for the drive chain adjuster and the interior of the front brake disc in addition to a body with an orange and black colour scheme. The muffler body and drive chain now includes original engravings, while the tank has a 25th-anniversary badge and a three-dimensional "Suzuki" logo. The single-seat cowl is also standard equipment (with the exception of Japan spec). Commenting on the launch, Toshihiro Suzuki, President, said, "The Hayabusa series has been a flagship model representing Suzuki, and has fans all over the world. We would like to express our deepest gratitude that this model is able to celebrate its 25th anniversary and that it has been continuously loved by everyone for this long. I have personally test ridden the prototype of the current third-generation model, and I am proud to say that we, the Suzuki team, can present to you the best model to date. The Hayabusa will never stop its evolution. We ask for your continued love and support."

Suzuki Hayabusa Through the Years
The "Hayabusa (GSX1300R)" was the name given to the model's first iteration when it was displayed at Intermot in Germany in 1998. Sales in Europe and North America began in 1999. The motorbike's "Ultimate Sport" product concept, which combined high power and handling prowess with distinctive and aerodynamic design, caused a sensation and led to the motorcycle being Suzuki's flagship model.
The year 2007 saw the launch of the second generation model, which had a 1,340cc displacement increase from the previous 1,299cc. The Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), a newly introduced feature that enabled altering the output characteristics to the riders' preferences, carried on the original generation's exceptional and potent performance. Further, the first Japanese-bound specs became available in 2014, and manufacturing and sales in India began in 2016. Notably, global sales also increased.
The third generation Hayabusa arrived on the market in 2021, including an entirely upgraded engine and chassis as well as several electronic controls. The engine and chassis components underwent a thorough evaluation, and the bike fully embodies the "The Refined Beast" styling design concept thanks to the adoption of the electronic "S.I.R.S." (Suzuki Intelligent Ride System) control system, which includes traction control and bi-directional quick shift systems.
Suzuki Hayabusa: Mechanical Details
It is expected that the Hayabusa 25th Anniversary version won't undergo any mechanical modifications. It will come with the same liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine that has a displacement of 1,340cc. The said unit generates 187bhp of maximum power at 9,700rpm and 150Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. It is coupled to a 6-speed transmission with a quick shifter and a slip-and-assist clutch.
