The Suzuki e-Burgman is anticipated to go on sale in the Indian market sometime next year or even before that. The new e-scooter from Suzuki Motorcycle India will be based on the existing petrol-powered Burgman Street, in terms of styling. It will weigh 147kg, as opposed to the Burgman Street's 110kg kerb weight. The company is expected to pack the e-Burgman with a swappable battery unit, to standardise swappable batteries in partnership with Honda, Yamaha, and Kawasaki. The e-Burgman underwent tests on multiple occasions, the purpose of which was, according to the company, to understand the evaluation and improvement requests for two types of moped electric scooters using replaceable batteries. Still, the e-scooter is in its testing stage. It could be available in different variants offering different range, if we go by some industry reports.
