Currently, Skoda has no production plans for the Laurin & Klement Slavia B Concept. The electric cafe racer serves as a tribute to the brand's history.
With roots in the bicycle and motorcycle manufacturing under the Laurin and Klement name, Skoda has unveiled the Laurin & Klement Slavia B Concept, an electric cafe racer. The unique, non-production design by Skoda's car exterior designer, Romain Bucaille, is a tribute to the original 1899 Slavia B. Talking about the motivation for his work, Bucaille stated ‘I wanted to do something unique and go back to the brand’s roots. I work on cars every day, and since I also love motorcycles, creating one was really a refreshing change.’ Here’s all you need to know about the eye-catching concept born out of the OG Slavia B motorcycle.
The Slavia B concept stays true to the original motorcycle’s straightforward elegance while bringing in a fresh, modern twist. It features a horizontal LED headlamp, low handlebars, and a broad fuel tank, all of which contribute to the strong, purposeful look. The floating seat, accompanied by a practical leather tool bag, adds to the bike's utilitarian beauty, while the open engine bay features the floating Laurin and Klement logo—an iconic design element.

According to designer Romain Bucaille, the final design is a ‘futuristic café racer in Modern Solid style,’ characterised by the brand’s simple, solid forms, clean lines, sharp angles, and distinctive headlight.
The brand-new Slavia B concept is a direct descendant of the original motorcycle that came into being in 1899. The 0G model had a 240cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine with a power output of 1.73bhp. The top speed stands at 40km/h. The bike used to have a direct flat belt drive instead of a gearbox and included pedals for starting and assistance. A total of 540 of the original Slavia B motorcycles were produced.
Currently, Skoda has no production plans for the Laurin & Klement Slavia B Concept. The electric cafe racer serves as a tribute to the brand's history, offering a chance to 'go back to the brand's roots.'
