Simple Energy announced yesterday that the deliveries of the Simple One electric scooter will commence from June this year. So far, the homegrown electric scooter maker has received 30,000 bookings for the Simple One.
Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO, Simple Energy, said, 'We understand electric mobility is the future, and two-wheelers are the vehicle of the masses. It is a part of our vision to revolutionise the electric two-wheeler segment and make premium electric mobility solutions affordable and accessible to people.'
'We are elated with the market response that has been coming across our way on Simple One. The technology used for the Simple One will define and enable our future in this industry. We have some of India's best minds conducting R&D, designing, and engineering for our products, and we are confident that Simple One will supersede customer expectations,' Suhas further added.
The Simple One features a 4.8kWh battery pack, which is the largest in the segment. Simple Energy claims that this battery pack will translate into a range of 236km, which is also the highest claimed range in the segment. Additionally, Simple One features an electric motor, which has an output of 9.38bhp.
The Simple One mainly rivals the Ola S1 Pro, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, and Ather 450X. to an extent, the Revolt RV400, which is an electric motorcycle, could also be a good alternative for EV buyers in this segment.
