It's big news for all hardcore Royal Enfield fans, as the company is all set to reveal the much-awaited Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 at EICMA 2022.
RE is all set to pull the covers off the Super Meteor 650 at EICMA 2022, which commences tomorrow, i.e., 8th November. Ever since the news of its launch circulated on the internet, there has been considerable excitement among potential clients. A significant part of the mystery regarding its design and other features was solved, thanks to teaser images.
The Super Meteor 650 will have a powertrain similar to that of RE's 650 twins. The 648cc parallel twin motor is likely to put out 46bhp and 52Nm of torque and will come mated to a six-speed transmission.
The cruiser motorcycle will be the first of its clan to sport an up-side-down fork at the front. Its braking operations will be performed by disc brakes at both ends. Also, it will feature dual-channel ABS. The expected list of features could also include LED lighting and switchgear, borrowed from RE's J-platform motorcycles, a tripper navigation-equipped instrument cluster, and a hazard light switch.
The details regarding its chassis are still under wraps. The new model is likely to be heavier and larger in size than RE's current 650 twins. As far as its prices are concerned, the RE Super Meteor 650 might be priced in the ₹3 – 3.5 lakh range (ex-showroom).
