Royal Enfield is one of the most popular motorcycle manufacturers in India. After many exciting bike releases last year, the company has several models in the works for 2024. One of the upcoming motorcycle models is the Royal Enfield 450cc Roadster, which has recently been spotted in spy images circulating on the internet. Notable design elements seen in the photos include a circular headlight, a large fuel tank, short side panels, and a slender tail portion that resembles the new Himalayan. The domestic bikemaker hasn’t disclosed anything, but the bike is anticipated to go on sale sometime soon, with a starting price of Rs 2.4 lakh. However, before this brand-new naked street motorcycle rides onto our streets, let’s look at its possible features and specifications.
Royal Enfield Roadster 450: Key Highlights
The engine for the upcoming bike will likely be the same as the new Himalayan, but there is no official confirmation yet. The engine is a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder unit that can produce 39.47bhp of power at 8,000rpm and 40Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. However, reports suggest that the manufacturer may adjust the power and torque outputs to suit the desired performance of the roadster. The spotted Roadster looks to have preload-adjustable monoshock and telescopic forks. It is anticipated that the Himalayan's front and rear disc brakes will be used for braking. Based on the spy photos, the bike appears to be equipped with alloy wheels that resemble those on the Shotgun 650.
The new Royal Enfield Roadster 450 is expected to come equipped with a range of features, such as ABS, ride-by-wire, and full LED lighting. One of the notable amenities could be the Himalayan round TFT dial. However, to keep the bike's price reasonable, the manufacturer may opt for a circular LCD cluster with Bluetooth connectivity instead.
More Royal Enfield Bike Launches
As reported earlier, the manufacturer plans to launch multiple new bikes this year. Recently, the test mules of the Royal Enfield Classic 650 and the Scrambler 650 were spotted in Chennai. The Scrambler 650 is said to be similar to the Interceptor 650, while the Royal Enfield Classic 650 will likely draw inspiration from the Classic 350. Industry reports suggest that the new Scrambler may be named the 'Interceptor Bear 650,' but Royal Enfield has not yet confirmed this information.
