The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is now available for purchase in India. The roadster is built on the same Sherpa 450 platform that supports the popular adventure tourer, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Both models were created simultaneously. Depending on the variant, interested customers can choose between several colour options: Brava Blue and Yellow Ribbon, Gold Dip and Playa Black, and Smoke and Playa Black. When it comes to market rivalry, the Guerrilla 450 goes up against the Harley-Davidson X440, Hero Mavrick 440, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, and the Triumph Speed 400. Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 vs Triumph Speed 400: Price
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 comes in three variants: Flash, Dash, and Analogue. The prices range from Rs 2.39 lakh to Rs 2.54 lakh. The Triumph Speed 400 is available in a single model with three dual-tone paint jobs and costs Rs 2.24 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. This is around Rs 15,000 cheaper than the base variant of the Guerrilla 450 and Rs 30,000 less than the top variant.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 vs Triumph Speed 400: Power Figures
The 450cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 produces 40Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm and 39.5bhp of maximum power at 8,000rpm. The unit is coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox and has a slip-and-assist clutch.
On the other hand, the Triumph Speed 400 has a 4-valve, 398.15cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine, putting out 39.5bhp of peak power at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm of maximum torque at 6,500rpm. In addition, the cruiser has a slip-and-assist clutch and a six-speed manual gearbox. The Scrambler 400 X also runs on the same powertrain.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 vs Triumph Speed 400: Hardware
The engine is a stressed part of the Guerrilla 450's steel tubular frame. The frame is supported by a preload adjustable monoshock with 150mm wheel travel and a 43mm telescopic fork with 140mm travel. The bike has 17-inch wheels with a big 160-section tyre in the back and a 120-section tyre in front. Furthermore, braking is handled by a 310mm disc with a dual-piston calliper in the front and a 270mm disc with a single-piston calliper in the rear. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard.
Meanwhile, the Triumph model has a rear monoshock featuring preload adjustment and 43mm upside-down large piston front forks for suspension. While the rear brake system consists of a 230mm single rotor with a two-piston fixed calliper, the front brake unit is made up of a 300mm single disc with a four-piston radial calliper.

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 vs Triumph Speed 400: Features
The feature set of the Guerrilla 450 includes two ride modes (Eco and Performance), and the throttle is ride-by-wire. The Guerrilla 450 does not offer traction control while having dual-channel ABS. Although the top-spec models comprise a four-inch circular display with smartphone connectivity, Google Maps, and media controls in addition to access to the motorcycle settings, the base-spec variant has a digital analogue device with the Tripper pod as an optional extra.
A ride-by-wire throttle, dual-channel ABS, an anti-theft immobiliser, a semi-digital instrument cluster, switchable traction control, and full LED lighting are among the features of the Speed 400. The instrument cluster comprises a large analogue speedometer, LCD screen, tachometer, fuel gauge, and gear indicator.
