The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is new in the 400cc segment, challenging the Triumph Speed 400, Harley-Davidson X440, Hero Mavrick 440, and the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401. It is a retro-styled roadster, which offers a modern, liquid-cooled motor and a dynamic chassis. It is positioned as a reasonable and city-friendly alternative to the Himalayan 450, with which it shares the powertrain. Priced from Rs 2.39 lakh to Rs 2.54 lakh (introductory prices, ex-showroom), the Guerrilla 450 is available in three variants – Analogue, Dash, and Flash. Royal Enfield allows potential buyers to choose from a variety of exciting colours: Playa Black, Smoke Silver, Gold Dip, Brava Blue, and Yellow Ribbon.

However, for those seeking something with the ingredients of both a roadster and an adventure tourer, the new Svartpilen 401 from Husqvarna could be an option to go for. Positioned as a scrambler, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 is a neo-retro product with a rugged build. Based on the Gen 3 KTM 390 Duke, the 2024 Svartpilen 401 carries a price tag of Rs 2.92 lakh (ex-showroom), making it about Rs 38,000 more expensive than the top-spec variant of the Guerrilla 450. To help you understand which option is right for you, here is a comparison between the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 and the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401.
