A day before the 2024 EICMA Motor Show, Royal Enfield's EV sub-brand – Flying Flea – unveiled its maiden electric product, the C6. Alongside, the company also teased the scrambler-styled electric motorcycle dubbed the Flying Flea S6. While the Flying Flea S6 sits on the C6 electric platform – supporting a forged aluminium frame and a magnesium battery pack, it employs upside-down front forks with 60 per cent more suspension travel. The bike rides on aluminium spoked wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres. The rear tyre is expected to be smaller than the front one. Meanwhile, the Flying Flea C6 uses a girder-style front fork and a rear monoshock. Stopping power comes from disc brakes, mounted on 19-inch alloys with tubeless CEAT tyres.

Coming back to the S6, the scrambler features an enduro-inspired flat, bench-styled seat, compared to a scooped single-piece seat on the C6 bobber motorcycle. Royal Enfield says the S6 can reach 60km/h faster than the bobber. Technical specifications are under wraps, but the S6 is expected to come with a chain drive system. Features-wise, the Flying Flea S6 will likely offer a TFT instrument console, similar to the C6. Other expected bits include traction control, cornering ABS (anti-lock braking system), and ride modes.
Further details are awaited. Given that the deliveries of the C6 will commence the year before, we expect the S6 to be rolled out sometime in 2027.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally to Debut at EICMA 2024
But, by the time the C6 launches here, Royal Enfield would have already unveiled its Himalayan 450 Rally at EICMA 2024, which will be open to the public on November 7. We do not expect the Rally variant to arrive in India; it could be launched as an optional variant in the international market. Per leaks, the Himalayan 450 Rally will come with a handlebar brace pad, new hand guards, a rally-specific seat, and rally-style rear cowls.
