Royal Enfield's Managing Director Siddhartha Lal stated the company is developing an electric motorcycle while discussing the company's financial results. After investing EUR 50 million in the business, Stark Future has become a strategic partner of the brand. The launch date of this new electric motorbike is, as of this writing, unknown. According to Managing Director Siddhartha Lal, Royal Enfield is making steady progress on its EV journey, having already achieved significant headway in its EV motorcycle project and having formed an alliance with Stark Future. Royal Enfield has also increased the price of their latest offering, the Super Meteor 650, in India by Rs 5,000 across all variants. It's the first price increase for this model since it was introduced in the market. The manufacturer unveiled its flagship motorcycle in January of this year.

Royal Enfield to Develop In-House Electric Components
Royal Enfield is also concentrating on developing and manufacturing its own batteries and motors. The BMS, or Battery Management System, may thus also be a product of this company. The company is also in the process of establishing manufacturing lines and taking on new supplier partners. The first electric motorbike from Royal Enfield will reportedly have a neo-retro style with modern twists.
Upcoming Royal Enfield Motorcycles
Royal Enfield will soon release many highly anticipated models. The Bullet 350, the Scrambler (Sherpa) 650, the ShotGun 650, and the Himalayan 450 are some of the upcoming models and many of them have been spied testing. It is expected that RE will make its next major launch in 2023 with the Himalayan ADV with a larger displacement.

Royal Enfield April 2023 Sales
As compared to the 62,155 bikes it sold in the same month a year ago, the bikemaker sold 73,136 units last month, a rise of 18%. It delivered 68,881 units domestically last month, up from 53,852 units in April 2022, a 28% increase. However, the company reported a decline in overseas sales. In April 2023, it sent out 4,255 units around the globe, down from 8,303 units the year before. Although it has not been officially confirmed, industry sources have indicated that the Super Meteor 650 was a factor in the company's year-over-year sales increase last month.
