Royal Enfield, while readying the updated Interceptor 650, is working toward extending its 650cc lineup with the Classic 650. The retro-looking Classic 650 has been spotted in India where the upcoming Interceptor 650 is also under testing. The latter's styling will be similar to that of the smaller Classic 350, but the bike will share its underpinnings with other 650cc models. The riding position is expected to be comfortable, with upright handlebars and mid-set footpegs.

The Classic 650 and the 2025 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 won't be the only models to pack the familiar 648cc, parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine. The upcoming Interceptor Bear 650 scrambler, which could make its India debut by the end of this year, will also get the parallel-twin motor, making it the fifth model from Royal Enfield to do so. We expect the updated Interceptor 650 to be introduced sometime next year. For those unaware, the Interceptor 650 has been on sale in the country since 2018 and, therefore, is due for an update.

Updated Royal Enfield Interceptor 650: What Spy Shots Reveal?

Per spy shots, the 2025 Interceptor 650 shares a round LED headlamp, a single-piece seat setup, and a tubular grab-rail with its predecessor. But, the teardrop-shaped fuel tank, besides a circular LED taillamp, features a distinctive design. Even its LED turn indicators look similar to those on the Hunter 350. Speaking of, the latest spy shots of the updated Hunter 350 reveal new rear shocks as well as the same LED headlamp setup that almost all Royal Enfield bikes come with.

Chassis-wise, the updated Interceptor 650 seems to use the same cradle frame as the existing model, but the suspension setup comprises a larger telescopic fork at the front and preload-adjustable twin shocks at the rear. Rather than a single disc, the test bike has dual front discs with axially mounted brake callipers. Other visible bits include new exhausts and alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.

On the instrumentation front, the 2025 iteration ditches a dual-pod analogue console in favour of a new single-pod instrument cluster. The latter is found on the Himalayan 450 and the Guerrilla 450. Expect the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the updated Interceptor 650 to be priced around the Rs 3.20 lakh mark. The price is ex-showroom.
