The Royal Enfield Classic 650 has been spotted undisguised in a pre-production form in the UK, with design elements borrowed from its smaller sibling (the Classic 350), such as mudguards, headlamp and taillight. It has a slightly larger (15-16 litres capacity approx) and dual-tone (maroon and cream) fuel tank, featuring the Royal Enfield logo printed in a vintage-looking font, two peashooter exhausts, spoke wheels with tube tyres, and an engine box plated in chrome. The bike gets a tubular steel frame, dual shocks at the back, and telescopic forks at the front. It seems to use a 320mm disc with a twin-piston floating calliper up front and a 300mm disc with a comparable calliper at the back, both with ABS, similar to the Super Meteor. Royal Enfield Classic 650: Powertrain
The Royal Enfield Classic 650 will be propelled by the same 648cc, SOHC, air/oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine that powers the Continental GT, Interceptor, Super Meteor, and Shotgun. This unit produces 46.4bhp at 7,250rpm and 52.3Nm of peak torque at 5,650rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a 6-speed gearbox.
