Replacing the Jawa Classic, the new 350 has joined the Czech brand's India line-up consisting of the Jawa 42, the Jawa 42 Bobber, and the Jawa Perak. Jawa Motorcycles offers the recently launched 350 in a single variant that is equipped with a bigger, 334cc, single-cylinder engine as against the 293cc engine offered earlier. Priced at Rs 2.15 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, the Jawa 350 features a retro design that puts it more in line with its market rival – the Royal Enfield Classic 350.

The Jawa 350 appears to share styling cues with the Royal Enfield Classic 350, including a circular headlight, prominent front fenders, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, conventional mirrors, spoke wheels, and a peashooter-style exhaust system. As for colour options, the Jawa 350 comes in Maroon, Black, and new Mystique Orange options.

Meanwhile, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 with single-channel ABS is available in Redditch Red, Halcyon Black, Redditch Grey, and Halcyon Green colours, while the Classic 350 with dual-channel ABS can be had in 8 paint schemes, namely Signals Desert Sand, Signals Marsh Grey, Halcyon Green, Halcyon Black, Dark Stealth Black, Gunmetal Grey, Chrome Bronze, and Chrome Red.

Features-wise, both bikes offer a side stand sensor, ABS, an analogue instrument cluster, and bulb lighting. But, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is a cut above the Jawa 350 with its digital fuel gauge.

Powering the Jawa 350 is a new 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 22.2bhp at 7,000rpm and 28.1Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm. The transmission duties of the bike are taken care of by a 6-speed unit, along with an assist and slipper clutch. The Royal Enfield Classic 350, meanwhile, draws power from a 349cc, air/oil-cooled engine that makes 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm and 27Nm at 4,000rpm. On offer here is a 5-speed gearbox.

The 2024 Jawa 350 uses a new dual-cradle frame, suspended by a 35mm telescopic fork (with 135mm of wheel travel) at the front and 5-step pre-load adjustable twin shock absorbers (with 100mm of wheel travel) at the rear. In comparison, the chassis on the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is a double-downtube unit, suspended by a 41mm telescopic fork at the front (with 130mm of wheel travel) and 6-step pre-load adjustable dual shock absorbers at the rear.

As for the braking hardware, the refreshed Jawa 350 uses a 280mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS (standard). The Classic 350, on the other hand, features a larger 300mm disc at the front, whereas, at the rear, it can be optioned with either a 270mm disc or 153mm drum brake. 

In terms of wheels and tyre sizes, the Jawa 350 rolls on 100/90-R18 (F) and 130/80-R17 (R) tube-type tyres, while the Classic 350 comes with 100/90-R19 (F) and 120/80-R18 (R) tubeless tyres.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 vs New Jawa 350: Dimensions, Weight

Tipping the scales at 194 kilograms, the new Jawa 350 is 1 kilogram lighter than the Royal Enfield Classic 350. In terms of dimensions, the Jawa 350 has a fuel tank capacity of 13.2 litres, while its ground clearance, seat height, and wheelbase stand at 178mm, 802mm, and 1,449mm, respectively. Royal Enfield Classic 350 vs New Jawa 350: Price

Price-wise, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is a more affordable bike but only in its base version, which is close to Rs 22,000 less expensive than the Jawa 350 (Rs 2.15 lakh). The Royal Classic 350 tops out at Rs 2.25 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
