Royal Enfield is set to increase its product range in India with several bikes across multiple categories. It has recently trademarked the Bullet 650 Twin name in India, which will be used for its upcoming middleweight motorcycle. The Interceptor, Continental GT, Super Meteor, and Shotgun are some of the notable models in the current 650cc range. Although an official launch date is still unknown, the new Bullet 650 Twin is expected to join in this range around mid-2025. The bike has been spotted testing on both local and foreign markets, with the same classic and retro style as the Bullet 350, featuring components such as squared-off fenders, headlight beaks, and single-piece seating. However, to fit the larger engine, the bike's chassis and frame will be modified to give it a more beefy appearance. The upcoming bike will be driven by the identical 649cc, air/oil-cooled twin-cylinder engine found in the Super Meteor 650, Continental GT 650, Interceptor 650, and Shotgun 650. This unit generates 47bhp of maximum power and 52Nm of peak torque with a six-speed gearbox. Hardware-wise, the Bullet 650 could get telescopic front forks, dual rear springs, disc brakes (front and rear), and dual-channel ABS. It may have spoke wheels shod in tube-type tyres.
Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin: Features
The bike will likely adopt certain styling cues from its smaller Bullet sibling (350cc) such as a circular headlamp and rear-view mirrors, a tear-drop fuel tank, and conventional exhaust pipes. It is expected to feature a standard instrument console featuring a fuel level readout, tripmeter, speedometer, and other functions. It remains to be seen, though, if the motorcycle will receive twin-pod instrumentation like the other 650s or an arrangement similar to the 350.
