Last week, Revolt Motors launched its new electric commuter motorcycle in India – the RV1. The Revolt RV1 has two variants (Standard, RV1+) and four colour options (Titan Red Silver, Black Neon Green, Cosmic Black Red, and Black Midnight Blue). The entry-level RV1 can be had at Rs 84,990, while the top-end RV1+ sets you back by Rs 99,990. The prices are introductory, ex-showroom.
Both variants feature all-LED illumination and an LCD instrument cluster. The suspension and the braking setup are also the same. The former consists of a telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers, while the latter is the combination of a disc brake at either end. The discs come fitted on 17-inch alloy wheels. A combined braking system (CBS) is also available. Even the 3.8bhp, mid-mounted electric motor is the same for both models. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a conventional chain drive system.
