Ola S1 X+ Electric Scooter Deliveries Commence in India, Available for Rs 90,000 for a Limited Period
All three variants of the Ola S1 X lineup are based on the brand’s cutting-edge Gen 2 EV platform which is likely to spawn other upcoming Ola electric vehicles.
Ola Electric, a Bengaluru-based start-up, has started the delivery process for the S1 X+ electric scooter across India. At the launch of the S1 X range in August 2023, Ola claimed that deliveries for the range-topping scooter would begin by the end of September but could not deliver on the promise. Now, however, the promised deliveries are reaching customers, coinciding with the introduction of a limited-period pricing strategy by the electric vehicle manufacturer. In a move aimed at making the S1 X+ more accessible, Ola Electric has reduced its ex-showroom price from Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 90,000. This pricing adjustment is in effect until December 31, 2023, making the top-spec Ola S1 X+ more economically viable for potential buyers.
In addition, Ola is also running the 'December to Remember' campaign at the moment, which allows community members to capitalise on the ongoing offers and benefits. These include a 50 per cent off on extended warranty for second-generation electric vehicles plus a cashback of up to Rs 2,000 for successful referrals. Similarly, referees also stand a chance to earn a cashback of Rs 3,000 upon the purchase of either the S1 Air or S1 Pro scooters.

Ola launched the S1 X, its new entry-level product, in three variants, with introductory prices now ranging from Rs 90,000 to Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom). The S1 X range comprises the base-spec S1 X (2kWh), mid-spec S1 X (3kWh), and top-spec S1 X+.
Ola S1 X+: Battery, Range
All three variants of the S1 X lineup are based on the brand’s cutting-edge Gen 2 EV platform, which is likely to spawn other Ola electric vehicles. Having said that, the S1 X+ is powered by a 3kWh lithium-ion battery pack with an IDC-claimed range of 151 kilometres on a single charge. In Eco mode, the range is rated at 125 kilometres.
This 3kWh lithium-ion battery is mated to a 6kW electric motor, resulting in a claimed top speed of 90km/h and a 0 – 40km/h sprint in 3.3 seconds. Ola claims that the charging time for the electric scooter is 7.4 hours using a 500W portable charger.
Ola S1 X+: Features
In comparison to the other two versions in the S1 X lineup, the S1 X+ gets OTA updates, Bluetooth/GPS connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, music control, remote boot lock/unlock, cruise control, predictive maintenance, and Ola app management. Other bits include three riding modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport), reverse mode, a boot space of 34 litres, circular mirrors, a digital key, a unique headlamp cowl, a flat seat, and two cubbyholes in the front apron.
Ola S1 X+: Hardware
The Ola S1 X range gets the same hardware as the S1 Air, which includes 12-inch steel rims, combi brake systems, conventional drum brakes at both ends, telescopic front forks, and dual shock absorbers attached to a double-sided swingarm at the rear. Given the fact that it is based on Ola's new Gen2 platform, the S1 X+ comes with a flat floorboard for added convenience.
