Ola Electric, an Indian EV manufacturer, has launched Gerua Edition for the Ola S1 and the S1 Pro electric scooters in India. The Ola S1 variant can now be availed in 5 new colours including Marshmallow, Millennial Pink, Anthracite Grey, Midnight Blue, and Matt Black. In India, the Ola S1 and S1 Pro EVs will continue to be priced at Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.40 lakh respectively (ex-showroom). Although the manufacturer has updated the paint scheme of the S1 variant, the price structure of the EVs remains unchanged. The Ola S1 Pro has a larger 4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack than the Ola S1, which has a 3 kWh battery. According to the Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer, they can travel up to 141 kilometre and 181 kilometre per charge, respectively.
With a total sales of more than 1,50,000 units in 2022, Ola established itself as India's best-selling EV manufacturer. The Indian manufacturer also expanded its D2C footprint by opening more than 100 new experience centres and launched three software updates in a single year with the over-the-air (OTA) roll-out of MoveOS 3 to more than 1 lakh customers. Reportedly, it clocked sales of 25,000 units in the previous month. In November 2022, Ola Electric topped the sales chart by shipping 16,246 S1 electric scooters.
