If you happened to book the Ola S1 or the Ola S1 Pro in the first booking window, you may get the delivery of your scooter very soon.
Ola Electric launched the S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters on August 15, 2021. The firm promised to commence deliveries in the month of October 2021. However, due to some hurdles, mainly revolving around the chip shortage and other electronic parts in the automotive industry, the respective buyers did not get their scooters on time.
That being said, Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO, Ola Electric, has now tweeted that the first shipment for deliveries has been dispatched from the factory on December 13. Ola has finally commenced the deliveries of the S1 and S1 Pro today, i.e. on December 15.
The S1 and S1 Pro have been priced at Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The direct rivals to the S1 and the S1 Pro are the Ather 450 Plus and 450 X. The Simple One electric scooter, which debuted on the same day, is a direct rival to the ola scooters as well.
While the customers who booked their scooters, in the beginning, will get their deliveries soon, the buyers who booked their scooters in November 2021 may still have to wait slightly longer.
