If you have booked the Ola S1 electric scooter, you may have to wait for some time to receive the delivery, or you can just pay the company an extra Rs 30,000 for the Ola S1 Pro, which is likely to be delivered sooner.
Ola Electric has sent an email to those customers who have booked the Ola S1, saying that the production of the S1 electric scooter has been temporarily suspended. The Ola S1 is the entry-level model, which is priced at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom). The S1 misses out on a few features that Ola offers with the top-spec S1 Pro, which is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
Ola Electric says that the majority of the customers have opted for the S1 Pro, therefore the manufacturer is primarily focusing on the production of the Ola S1 Pro.
Ola is currently offering the S1 customers the option to upgrade their purchase to the S1 Pro for an extra amount of Rs 30,000. Customers can also wait for the Ola S1, which will go back into production by the end of the year.
Ola ramped up its production earlier this month, which led its customers to believe that they will get the delivery of their respective scooters very soon. However, it is disappointing that the customers who opted for the base variant will have to wait longer. Not to mention that Ola is already running behind its delivery schedule.
