Ola S1 Air Electric Scooter Deliveries Begin in India, Priced at Rs 1.20 Lakh

Deliveries of the brand-new S1 Air have begun by Ola Electric, one of India's leading manufacturers of electric-powered scooters. The S1 Air is currently available for purchase at Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom) and sits between the S1 X and the S1 Pro Gen2, both of which went on sale on August 15 this year. Notably, the model has garnered over 50,000 reservations so far, according to the manufacturer's prior announcement. Over 100 locations across the nation have started receiving deliveries of the Ola S1 Air, and the firm claims that more cities are going to follow shortly. Moreover, to satisfy the soaring demand for the S1 Air, which is built on the Gen2 platform and also receives a thoroughly redesigned battery pack, the EV maker is increasing production at the FutureFactory. The 3kWh battery pack that powers the electric scooter has a 151-kilometre range on a single charge.

Ola S1 Air: Design

In terms of design, the Ola S1 Air and the Ola S1 Pro electric scooters have a very similar appearance. However, a more detailed look starts to show several variances. First off, the e-scooter has blacked-out panels along with matte and metallic finished colours for a dual-tone appearance. The e-scooter can be had in six colour schemes, including Neon, Stellar Blue, Coral Glam, Midnight Blue, Liquid Silver, and Porcelain White. Steel wheels, traditional telescopic front suspension, 34-litre boot space, a simpler tubular rear grab handle, and a more useful flat footboard are additional apparent design modifications.

Ola S1 Air: Battery Pack and Features

The S1 Air comes equipped with an 8.04bhp motor and a 3.0kWh battery pack. With acceleration from 0 to 40km/h taking just 3.3 seconds and a top speed limited to 90km/h, the manufacturer claims a 151-kilometre range on a single charge. In less than 5 hours, it may be fully charged. The S1 Air also has a telescopic front fork, double shock absorbers in the back, drum brakes on both ends, cruise control, twin projector headlamps, navigation, reverse mode, ride modes, and a 7-inch touchscreen interface unit with GPS and smartphone connectivity, among other noteworthy features. The S1 Air may be purchased through the Ola app and is offered at more than 1,000 Ola experience centers throughout India.

Ola S1 X, S1 X+: Key Details

Ola S1 X and S1 X+ electric scooters, which are more reasonably priced, have also been launched by the firm in India. The S1 X+ and S1 X (3kWh) both have a potent 8bhp motor, a 3kWh battery that provides a range of 151-kilometre, and a top speed of 90km/h. The S1 X (2kWh) has a top speed of 85km/h and a range of 91-kilometre thanks to its 2kWh battery and 8bhp motor. The price for the S1 X stands at Rs 99,999 whereas for the S1 X+, it is Rs 1.10 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom.
