After a slew of controversies, Ola has finally rolled out the MoveOS 2 update for the S1 Pro electric scooters, which promises to fix issues like range drop and battery discharge.
Ola Electric has launched the new OTA MoveOS 2 update for Ola S1 Pro electric scooter. The update has been rolled out for over 50,000 customers across the country. The company has announced that the new update will give users greater accessibility and enhancement. However, more importantly, the update will fix earlier bugs that caused issues like range drop and battery discharge.
The latest update has also enabled users to use their scooters remotely with the help of the Ola Electric Companion app. Users will also be able to lock, unlock, and open the boot of the electric scooter with a button. With the new update, vehicle metrics such as range across modes, charge status, and odometer reading will also be accessible.
The MoveOS2 also brings in the Music Playback feature to the customers, which will help them pair their smartphones via Bluetooth and enjoy music. In addition to this, the update also introduces a new cruise control feature that will enable users of the Ola S1 Pro to maintain a steady speed anywhere between 20km/h to 80km/h on traffic-free roads. This feature can be enabled in any mode, except Eco.
Ola claims that the MoveOS2 will also provide better navigation support, with turn-by-turn navigation support and a live route map on the HMI of the electric vehicle. To this end, the company has also informed that the scooter might need a hardware upgrade to fix the antenna to improve the navigation feature.
