Almost two months ago, Ola Electric said it would launch its first electric motorcycle in the first half of the financial year 2026. And this was followed by a couple of teasers. Fast forward to today, and Ola has revealed its Roadster series at its flagship event, Sankalp 2024. With this, Ola Electric – which is India's first listed EV company and the world's largest two-wheeler EV company – has officially announced its entry into the mass-market and premium segments. Last year in August, Ola showcased its four futuristic electric motorcycle concepts: Adventure, Roadster, Cruiser, and the futuristic-looking Diamondhead.
Based on the Roadster concept previewed in 2023, the Roadster series sits on the advanced Gen 3 platform and uses made-in-India 4680-format cells, touted as BharatCell. The pricing of the Roadster series – consisting of the Roadster, Pro, and the X – starts at Rs 75,000 for the 2.5kWh Roadster X model and goes up to Rs 2.50 lakh for the range-topping 16kWh Roadster Pro. All prices are ex-showroom. Bookings for the models are now open, while deliveries will begin in Q4 FY25.
