Bhavish Aggarwal, the CEO of Ola Electric, recently posted a teaser on social media hinting at an exciting new development. The most recent and short 3-second video shows him riding an electric motorcycle with a raised riding position and a sleek profile, similar to an entry-level commuter bike. Although no official announcement has been made, it is speculated that Ola Electric may be gearing up to launch an entry-level e-bike to compete with the 100–125cc class of models.

There isn't much information currently available about Ola's upcoming entry-level motorcycle. Market rumours, however, suggest that more information and teasers may surface as time passes before the potential unveiling on August 15, as the company is famous for making major announcements on Independence Day.

Interestingly, this is Ola's second thrilling teaser in a week. In the previous post, the company revealed the battery pack contained inside a motorcycle-like tubular chassis. The side-mounted circuit board, the seat, and the front sprocket were also seen in the picture.

Ola Electric Motorcycle Design Patented in India

Last year, on August 15, the EV company unveiled prototypes of four electric bikes: Adventure, Roadster, Cruiser, and Diamondhead. Except for Diamondhead, the designs for the remaining bikes have previously been patented in India. The patented design of the first bike appears to be influenced by Ola's muscular roadster concept, with practical styling. It has strong creases and an angular silhouette, two shock absorbers in the rear, a box-section swingarm, and a hub-mounted engine. Its alloy wheel design is similar to most 100cc to 110cc entry-level commuter bikes. The bike has a single-piece handlebar, which is easy to reach. It also includes slender tyres, all-LED lighting, and a front disc and rear drum braking setup.

The Roadster concept's aesthetic appears to be shared by the second and third bikes as well. The design patents for the remaining two motorcycles, in contrast to the first bike, have a more sporty appearance.

Both bikes feature the same design and equipment, like the powertrain, suspension, wheels, and seats. However, the differences can be observed in ergonomics such as handlebars, seat design, and headlights.
