Ola Electric is gearing up to mark its debut in the electric motorcycle industry. The brand has confirmed that on August 15, several new products, including its much-awaited electric motorcycle, will arrive on the Indian market. The CEO Bhavish Aggarwal shared the first teaser of the model, offering a sneak peek at the bike's design language, which comprises a twin-pod LED headlight and distinctive rearview mirrors. He took to his 'X' social media handle saying, 'Future of motorcycling is here. Join us on August 15th!' Here's all that we can decipher from the teaser.

The Teaser
The type of motorcycle shown in the teaser is not evident. The bike's front design, however, is unlike any of the four electric concept motorcycles the company unveiled last August. Two LED lights and an LED strip positioned horizontally above the LEDs are visible on the teased bike. It also appears to have a sizable headlamp cowl, though it might be a windscreen. The model can also be seen in the official teaser with its angular tank shrouds, lending it a street bike look. Furthermore, the handlebar appears to be a single piece, positioned rather upright.
Ola Electric Motorcycle: What We Know So Far?
Ola Electric previously stated that it would launch its first electric bike in India next year. The statement came during the Board of Directors' most recent press conference, which included an announcement about Ola's IPO listing. Although limited specifics are available at the moment, we anticipate the upcoming Ola model will be a high-end product. Therefore, the two-wheeler producer will likely introduce a fully loaded variant before releasing the more affordable ones. This will allow the company to launch a new electric bike range and increase the number of Indian consumers purchasing it when the price drops due to changes in amenities and battery capacity.
Aggarwal claims that internally designed EV batteries will power Ola Electric's forthcoming electric motorcycles. According to the manufacturer, these would be the biggest batteries in an electric motorcycle in India. 'From 2025, Ola Electric will start using EV batteries developed in-house. Besides, we will commence the sale of our electric motorcycles.' Upon launch in India, the Ola electric motorcycle is expected to compete directly with the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 and the Matter Aera.

Bhavish Aggarwal and Ola Electric intend to expand the company's lineup beyond electric scooters to include electric motorcycles and cars. The homegrown EV maker, which has made a name for itself as a leading producer of electric scooters with models like the S1 Pro, S1 Air, and S1X, has started to venture into the comparatively uncrowded field of electric bikes.
