A host of new models have been launched by Ola Electric on the eve of India's 77th Independence Day. The company released the S1 X, its most affordable electric scooter to date at a price tag of Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom), as well as other products, marking the brand's entry into the electric motorcycle segment. Meanwhile, the S1 Air, which has a 3kWh battery, is now being delivered by Ola Electric in our home market. Its top speed is 90km/h, and its certified range is up to 151-kilometre on a single charge. The peak power output for the bike is 8.04bhp. The electric scooter completes the sprint from 0 to 60km/h in under 5.7 seconds. Among the S1 Air's standout features are its LED headlight and taillight, Digital key, Side stand alert, Reverse mode, OTA updates, Bluetooth/GPS connectivity with Navigation, and Side stand alert. One of the significant highlights of the event was the rollout of the new MoveOS. The software will be available for new and existing customers in the country. Read on to know more about the same.

Move OS 4 Update
The manufacturer has unveiled the new MoveOS version for its electric scooter, describing it as the most significant software update to date. In its fourth edition, MoveOS 4 will include a slew of new features. Concert mode, for example, is an extension of MoveOS 3's Party mode. When in Party mode, the lights on the electric scooters sync with the music playing through the scooters. According to the Bengaluru-based brand's site, the new functionalities will be available starting today.
But that's not all. Ola has also improved the moods of the scooters. Moods are essentially different computer display home screens. The scooter's acceleration sound changes depending on the rider's settings. There are presently three mood options available: light, dark, and auto. All Ola S1 scooters currently have the OS 3 software loaded, which provides a range of useful functions like as music control, call and SMS notifications, and themes, among others. Ola has included the final versions of the proximity lock/unlock and hill hold for the S1 e-scooter with the MoveOS 4 release.
Ola S1 X: Battery and Performance Figures
Three Ola S1 X variants will be available: S1 X+ (3kWh), S1 X (3kWh), and S1 X (2kWh), with prices starting at Rs 1.10 lakh, Rs 99,999, and Rs 89,999, respectively. Customers who make reservations before August 21, however, can buy them at discounted rates of Rs 99,999, Rs 89,999, and Rs 79,999. All prices are ex-showroom.
According to Ola, the S1 X has the same drivetrain as the S1 Air, which includes a hub motor with a 6.03bhp rating and a top speed of 90km/h. The S1 Air makes the same acceleration claims, which equate to 0–40km/h in 3.3 seconds. All of these figures are applicable to the S1 X's higher two versions, which come with the 3kWh battery pack. Due to the revised frame that has been employed here, the S1 X, which is built on Ola's new 'Gen 2' e-scooter platform, also receives a flat floorboard.
The base model, which has a 2kWh battery pack, has a claimed top speed of 85km/h and a 0–40km/h acceleration time of 4.1 seconds. It also has a reduced performance level. The certified range for this entry-level model is 91-kilometre, whereas it is 151-kilometre (the same as the S1 Air) for the high-spec models.

All-new Ola S1 Pro: Battery Pack and Range
Ola today presented the S1 Pro in addition to the S1 X. The company claims that because it was created on the new Gen 2 EV platform, it has a variety of improvements over its predecessor. The S1 Pro now comes in two additional intriguing colour options and is priced at Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom). A specific area of modification is the motor; it now produces 7bhp continuously and 14.75bhp peak output, compared to its former output of 7.4bhp continuously and 11.4bhp peak. Because of this, the claimed peak speed has increased from 116 to 120km/h, while the claimed acceleration time from 0 to 40km/h has decreased from 2.9 to 2.6 seconds.
Ola claims it has made changes to the battery pack and its efficiency, which have led to a modest gain in range figures even if its battery size, at 5.4bhp, remains the same. The true range in Eco mode has increased from 170-kilometre to 180-kilometre, while the certified range has increased from 181-kilometre to 195-kilometre. The 6.5-hour charging time from 0 to 100 per cent doesn't change.
All three S1 X models may be reserved starting today, with top-spec S1 X+ deliveries expected to start by September-end. However, the lower two variants won't be available to customers until December.
