We have been waiting to write this headline as much as a lot of enthusiasts have been waiting to read it
Just a few moments before sundown today, mobile phones of Indian auto journalists across the country beeped, and the notification brought a wide grin on each one's face. It was an official statement from KTM India - one that we have been eagerly anticipating for a while now. The 390 Adventure will be launched in India next year. Drum roll!!!
The 390 Adventure will not only be the smallest Adventure offering from the brand but also the first one to be launched in India. Spy shots of the motorcycles have been plaguing the internet for a long time now. Test mules that were spotted seemed to be fitted with a 19-inch spoke wheel up front and a 17-inch one at the back. In terms of design, the 390 Duke is likely to be identical to its larger capacity siblings. List of features is likely to be as long as the new 390 Duke launched last year.
Speaking of which, the heart of the 390 Adventure will be borrowed from its namesake - a 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor, but this engine is sure to be tuned differently to suit the bike's adventure DNA.
KTM has smartly released the information about the launch of the 390 Adventure just a few weeks before the launch of the BMW G 310 GS. Expect the KTM 390 Adventure to be officially unveiled at EICMA or INTERMOT in November this year with the India launch scheduled for 2019.
