Odysse Electric Vehicles has launched the Vader electric bike in India. With this, the Vader becomes the first electric bike in the country to get a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster with Android Display and Google Map navigation. Hereafter, the two-wheeler brand will have two electric bikes that Indian customers can buy - the Evoqis Electric and the Vader Electric. Speaking of its pricing, the new Vader Electric stands at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). People who are interested in buying can book the new model at a nominal amount of Rs 999. The bookings for the latest bike have been underway since March 31 with deliveries to begin from July. You can choose among 5 new colours - Midnight Blue, Fiery Red, Glossy Black, Venom Green, and Misty Grey.

Odysse Vader Electric: Powertrain
The Odysse Vader Electric uses a 3kW electric motor that draws power from an IP67-approved 3.7kWh lithium-ion battery. The Vader in electric guise has a power output of 6bhp and 170Nm of peak torque and is claimed to have a top speed of 85km/h. It can be charged from 0 to 100 per cent in about 4 hours.
In addition, the Vader comes with three ride modes - Eco, Drive, and Sport. Using Eco mode, riders can maximise its range to 125 kilometre. While Drive and Sport offer a range of about 105 and 90 kilometre, respectively.
Odysse Vader Electric: Hardware and Suspension
In terms of hardware, the Odysse Vader e-bike rides on 17-inch wheels, both front and rear. The 17-inch units are wrapped in 90/90 front and 140/70 rear tyres. As for the suspension, it gets a telescopic fork in the front and a dual spring-loaded set-up at the back. The braking duties are performed by a 240mm disc brake in the front and a 220mm disc brake in the rear. The motorcycle tips the scale at 128kg. Moreover, the new model features a combi-braking system and regenerative braking.
Odysse Vader Electric: Design & Features
Design-wise, the new Odysse Vader boasts of a round LED headlamp, a bikini fairing, and a small fly screen, resembling the design of commuter bikes.
On the feature front, the Vader electric motorcycle has a 7.0-inch Android display that provides access to Google Maps, call alerts, and so on. The Android unit is supported by a new Odysse EV app that comes with connectivity features like a bike locator, geo-fencing, immobilisation, anti-theft, low battery alert, live tracking, and more.

Besides, it has a range of other features to offer that include Bluetooth connectivity, OTA update, 18-litre storage space, and new colour options as mentioned earlier.
